“All of the technology plays nice, having that instant sharing is all we could ask for. I don't see us going back now.”
— Lt. Dwayne Shellhammer, Sarasota Police Department

CASE STUDY SPOTLIGHT

Sarasota PD SWAT:
Armed Subject Near a School

The Situation
When an armed, suicidal subject positioned himself near a school and strip mall in Sarasota, FL, Lt. Dwayne Shellhammer needed to rapidly mobilize SWAT, negotiators, drone operators, and patrol units while managing a volatile scene with no margin for error.

The Response
Using Intrepid Activate, the entire special response team was alerted instantly. Every responder received the same incident details, staging instructions, and navigation simultaneously, while command tracked acknowledgments and arrival status in real time.

The Outcome
The response was coordinated from the first alert through resolution. No personnel were missed, no information was lost between units, and the incident was resolved safely with no injuries.
