Intrepid Networks seeks an innovative Senior Sensor Scientist to lead advanced, applied Research & Development and Engineering initiatives on a DoD program. This position leads the architecture, design, development, integration, test, and assessment of integrated sensor systems for all tactical environment and end user applications.
Requirements
Leads projects involving the architecture, design, development, test, integration, assessment, and application of sensor architectures, integrated sensor systems, and sensor applications.
Must have experience with a broad range of sensors, networks, Common Operating
Pictures (COP), power solutions, and data transmission.
Performs design studies and analysis to support the development, integration, fabrication,
and fielding of special (hardware and software) products and prototypes.
Develops specifications, Technical Data packages, trainings for tactical sensor systems
Provides leadership, management, direction, administration of multiple complex sensor integration projects with team members operating out of remote locations
Qualifications
Ph.D. in either physics, material science, electrical engineering, computer science, or other scientific discipline
10 years of applicable work experience directly related to the development, enhancement, integration, and application of newly developed and/or legacy sensors with end-to-end system architectures.
Experience with a broad range of specialized sensors (thermal, optical, RF/Microwave, acoustic, etc)
Proficient in managing, developing, delivering, and sustaining multiple complex system engineering projects with personnel located in remote locations
Strong communication skills.
Must be a U.S. Citizen with Secret Clearance and ability to obtain a Top-Secret
Clearance (although active Top-Secret clearance preferred)
Ability to travel on occasion
